Privacy Policy
FernGlider is a free browser game in which you pilot a delta-wing glider through the layers of a tropical rainforest canopy. This policy describes what data rises with the thermal when you play.
1. Information We Collect
Like sunlight through the canopy, we only let in what is necessary. We may receive:
- Standard browser HTTP request metadata sent automatically — your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and referring URL.
- Your personal best canopy layer count, held only in your browser's local storage and never transmitted anywhere.
- Completely anonymous session statistics that cannot be linked to any individual pilot.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use data only to keep the canopy accessible, prune dead branches (fix bugs), and gauge overall play patterns. We do not use it for advertising, data selling, or user profiling.
3. Local Storage and Cookies
Your record glide is stored in local browser storage on your own device. Clearing browser data makes it disappear into the undergrowth — we retain no server copy.
4. Third-Party Services
Fonts load from Google Fonts via a standard browser HTTP request. No other external services are part of FernGlider.
5. Children's Privacy
FernGlider contains no violent content, no gambling, and no in-app purchases. The glider simply settles when it contacts a canopy layer. Suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.
6. Data Retention
Any server-side log files are deleted after a limited operational period. Local gameplay data persists only according to your own browser settings.
7. Your Rights
Applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Reach us through our website's contact form.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical safeguards to any data we handle. No internet data transmission can be fully secured.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. Continued play after any update equals acceptance.
